ICMA (International City/County Management Association is the world’s leading association of professional city and county managers who serve local governments. They received a grant from the US Department of Energy and the SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership to conduct case studies on how local governments addressed key barriers to installing solar energy systems in their communities. The studies enabled other local governments to successfully replicate solar practices expanding the local adoption of solar energy.

We conducted 11 of these case studies including Reno, NV; Polk County, Florida; KY; Bristol, Franklin, TN; Asheville, NC; Solarize Asheville; Berea, KY; Bristol, TN; Franklin, TN; Asheville, NC; Solarize Asheville; Knoxville, TN; Nashville, TN; Cincinnati, OH. We provided both written case studies and short videos that provided high-level information.
